To understand the lasting impact of Christ's sacrifice, consider the story of Esau and Jacob. Esau, as the firstborn, was meant to receive Isaac’s (his father's) full blessing, but Jacob, valuing spiritual matters more than Esau, desired more of the spiritual, was hungry for the spiritual, made himself available for God’s plan to be fulfilled through him and in him. In the end, despite not resembling Esau, Jacob received the irreversible blessing because Isaac relied on what he could perceive, touch, and smell; rather than the true essence (spiritual things). Call it deception or manipulation, I will call it a hunger for what God has to offer.

Similarly, when God blesses us, He does not look at us and view us by our natural appearances, but rather through Christ Jesus His Son.

Similarly, when God blesses us, He does not look at us and view us by our natural appearances, but rather through Christ Jesus His Son. Not because He has an eye deficiency, but because of His grace and mercy. He sees the perfect evidence of Jesus’ blood speaking on our behalf. Though we may appear imperfect, God perceives us (believers in Christ) through the lens of Christ, sensing His essence and fragrance in us. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we have received an unchangeable, irreversible, and eternal blessing. Make your boast in Christ today, for His victory defines our eternal favour.

CONFESSION

I am blessed with the blessing of Abraham and all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places because of Christ Jesus.
