Humanity is destined to serve, whether it’s selfish desires, ego, or self-denial. Even those who claim no allegiance to God or the devil serve something—ambition, pride, or idols of their own making. The devil is satisfied as long as our devotion lies anywhere but with God, and much of what is labelled as "service to humanity" often masks ulterior motives like recognition or control. The truth is, you cannot escape serving; the only choice is who or what will rule your life. Unlike the devil’s coercion, God’s service is freely chosen, born out of love and trust, not force.

Serving God may sometimes feel like loss, as familiar comforts or attachments fall away. But His promise remains steadfast: all things work together for the good of those who serve Him. Those who trust in Him are never left ashamed or disappointed. Today, it’s time to examine what idols have taken God’s rightful place in your life and to let them go. Choose the freedom and fulfilment found in giving God the place He deserves—your heart, purpose, and devotion.
